Barnsley-based Leigh Taylor took quite a surprising change in career to get into design. Before graduating in 2007 with a First in BA Multimedia and Communication Design, he was a Royal Marines commando. "I was looking to go back into education and do something I loved that didn’t require as much physical activity!" Despite a relatively short design history, he’s already been making waves since going freelance at the beginning of 2008. With the ability to work in various graphical styles and a mammoth set of design and development skills, he’s the perfect man for almost any brief and has produced work for clients across several sectors. Particularly strong on standards and usability, his own portfolio has graced the pages of several CSS awards sites. "I started looking at the same things in my neighbourhood in different ways, thinking about the next potential project I could be working on," he adds. "I aim for an all-round great user experience, which surprises and intrigues clients with every little detail and interaction."
