When websites go bad: Michelle Ang

by Steve Jenkins

michelleang
Apparently, this is the first unofficial website (and hopefully the last if this is any indication of what can be expected) of New Zealand TV and film actress Michelle Ang. We have never heard of here either, but she did appear in a few episodes of Neighbours. The design, layout and content of this site is appalling, it’s so bad we cannot be bothered to write about it.   Just make sure you pay a visit. But, make sure your anti-virus is up-to-date before you visit, you never know.

Wow… This site nearly made me throw up my lunch!

4 things that made me cringe:

    1) The background music, the horrible noise of midi sound isn’t going to make people happier for being on your site…

    2) The Homestead.com guy speaking in the background under the midi sound. He is trying so hard to get his message across and its a shame really because they boast a “large range of templates, professionally designed for your convenience”…. please

    3) The horrible images that have no really purpose! They are just scattered all over the place and one in particular is on there twice! I shouldn’t be made to look at an ugly girl to be fare.

    4) The scrolling text which is “WritTEn LiKE ThIs.” Annoying when people text that way even more when on a website.

Oh, also noticed that it was last updated in 2001… Nuff Said.

Looks like it was *done* by an 8 year old, mate.

I don’t know if they fixed things up or if noscript saved me here but all I see is the background.

You could’ve warned us there was sound embedded…it made my entire office look round accusingly at me. I then had to explain “No no, I’m not looking at anything dodgy, honest!”…cue colleagues coming to look.

And then ask why I was looking at Michelle Ang’s site.

And had I designed it(?!). I took that last one as a direct insult.

My favourite page is FUR FABRIC AND FAUX SKINS

Now I’m to rest my eyes and let my stomach settle.
