Web Designer issue 174 hits the shelves tomorrow (26 August) and so we’ve got a sneak peak of the latest cover and a quick breakdown of the main content
In terms of the big feature and cover hit, we’re talking WordPress 3 and a complete overview of the new features, upgrading tips and comments from experts including the min man himself – founder Matt Mullenweg. Elsewhere contributer Chris Wright delves into a myriad of mobiles to review the ever-changing landscape of platforms that app developers and web designers face these days. Following our @font-face theme from issue 172, we cast a critical eye over the online font foundry services popping up to offer a healthy plethora of gorgeous typefaces and rate them on performance and content. Behind the Scenes offers a look at vibrant London agency Unit9, while on the tutorial front we have these little beauties:
Integrating HTML5 drag and drop into an eCommerce site, Creating mamazing fade-in rollovers with jQuery, Build custom YouTube video controls with the Javascript Player API, Getting creative wih the Spry tabbed panels widget, Buidling Flash 10.1 content for multi-touch devices, Adding interface states with Flash video transitions AND Design modern and elegant page templates (part one)

HTML 5 offers some really cool functionality and we love JQuery, if it’s used in the right way…. Keep up the good work!
I just finished reading Chris Wright’s article “The mobile minefield” and I’m wondering how much Apple paid him to write it? Honestly, this is just disgrace. Guys if you want to keep credibility, you need to stop doing this kind of things… Otherwise add an apple to your logo.
how do I subscribe to this magazine? It looks very interesting. I live in US. I also came across this other magazine called “Practical Web Design”, anyone have any thoughts?
I still haven’t received this issue :/
The eShop link is too slow and I cannot access it. What’s wrong?
Really beautiful theme..HTML5 drag and drop is good feature
I’ve bought it, especially the HTML5 drag and drop stuff. Lovely! Include more on the tutorial stuff!
i found an issue of your magazine on ebay and then came to this site. I was wondering if you sell your Magazine at stores in the United states. like Barnes and Nobles Borders or some other store.
