Essentially a community of (probably self-proclaimed) fashionistas and ‘sneaker freakers’, www.pumatalk.com luckily doesn’t have to adhere to the slick corporate aesthetic of its main sites. As a result, this has given the team free rein to embrace good old Eighties pop culture, and let them create a visual mish-mash of bright colours, photo montages (including replacing a human head with one of an animal) and the ever-popular swirly motif. This style is pretty easy to mimic, even for complete Photoshop novices.

I’m a complete fan of this puma talk website, its comforting to know that when possible even the big brands will break from the stiff corporate image that is constantly portrayed. The retro vibe and bright colours make this site youthful and visually inviting to the user.
Having more free rein on the design has really helped as the retro 80′s vibe and bright popping colours really help to give the site a fresh and fun feel.
