An interesting approach for a re-design!
i don’t see that it’s such a bad thing. designers enter contests all the time to be recognized for their work. this is just another way to be recognized.
So they get hundreds (possibly thousands?) of designs for the cost of one? Smart idea on behalf of them but a lot of designers are going to miss out.
