Scotch on the Rocks is Europe’s longest running ColdFusion conference, opening its door for the first time in 2005. Since then the conference has grown from strength to strength, adapting year on year to accommodate Rich Internet Application technologies.
For 2010 the conference is moving to London over May 24-25th, and will feature some of the world’s leading ColdFusion experts including; Ray Camden, Ben Nadel, Tery Ryan and Mark Drew, as well as Flex superstars such as Mike Jones, Luca Mezzalira and Serge Jespers. Also joining us this year is Aral Balkan, Oper’s Chris Mills and those cheeky Tweetdeck guys.
“The folks at SOTR work hard and play hard. Sure you’ll get your noggin filled with RIA goodness, but you’ll also get your belly filled with pints.” Terry Ryan, Adobe
“I highly recommend this conference. Even to those who might otherwise go to a conference in the states. Seriously. You may want to reevaluate where you’re spending your conference dollars and give Scotch on the Rocks a serious look.” Doug Hughes, Alagad
“As training budgets and staffing levels shrink, Scotch is a great chance to get actionable advice for improving your code and your development practices in just one jam packed day of presentations. It’s also a chance to network with other experienced developers, so when you do need assistance with something at work, you’ll have new IM contacts to give you a hand.” Peter Bell, Railo
“Scotch On The Rocks is the biggest proof that the ColdFusion community is very much alive and still attracting new members. It’s also the perfect opportunity for ColdFusion developers to get a taste of the Flash Platform and for Flash Platform developers to get a good idea on how ColdFusion can speed up their development.” Serge Jespers, Adobe
“I always leave SOTR with a urge to fire up my code editor and try out some of the awesome techniques I’ve learnt about during this fantastic event.” James Allen, JWA Developments
“If Carlsberg did conferences, it still wouldn’t be as good as SOTR“, Mike McMonagle, Edinburgh University
