4) Shantanu Narayan: Main man and Adobe CEO Shantanu was the first speaker to take the stage at MAX 2009, offering an insight into the core messages behind the event. This year the theme was loosely based around managing and tracking the creative assets we all build, with a particular nod to the Omniture acquisition and the new LiveCycle ES2.

5) Flash Player 10.1: Another key announcement was the new iteration for Flash Player, due out early in the new year. This version will have Smartphone support thanks to Adobe’s work via the Open Screen Project and will include multitouch and accelerometer features.

LynchQ&A

6) Kevin Lynch: The other star of the show was CTO Kevin Lynch, who can be seen here fending off questions during a special press Q&A. As well as answering queries regarding Augmented Reality applications and inevitably the prospect of iPhone Flash support, he also sportingly deflected a quip about his resemblance to Harry Potter! It was that particular journalist’s first (and last) visit to MAX, but don’t worry as Editor Mark Billen had nothing to do with it… allegedly.

7) The Crowds: MAX attracted an unprecedented amount of attendees this year and here we can see them filing into the neighbouring Nokia Theatre for one of the keynotes. During the Awards and Sneak Peek sessions the audience were invited to play an SMS quiz game to win Star Wars prizes. Movie legend Mark Hamill, otherwise known as Luke Skywalker, was guest presenter for the evening.
